Weatherion ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. Weatherion is built from the ground up to be zero-tracking, zero-ads, and privacy-respecting. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal identification information.
Weatherion requests device location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) strictly to determine your current latitude and longitude for localized weather forecasting and tactical radar map positioning. Location coordinates are processed transiently on-device and transmitted via encrypted HTTPS requests directly to the Open-Meteo REST API to fetch weather data. Location data is never stored on external servers or linked to user profiles.
Weatherion fetches meteorological data from Open-Meteo APIs and OpenStreetMap vector tiles. These requests contain standard network parameters (IP address and weather coordinates) required to fulfill weather queries. No personal identifiers are attached to these queries.
Weatherion does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. The application is a general weather utility suitable for all ages.
